This is a wonderful piece about what it feels like to have an anxiety attack, and ways to deal with it. The author is one of my bosses at Polygon, a lovely guy. He articulates perfectly what happens in your head when you’re panicking.
Also, from now on I’m referring to having an anxiety attack as experiencing “lizard brain.”
