‘Doctor Who’ fans hijack Boulder road sign — ‘Warning Daleks Ahead’

“Doctor Who” is coming back to the airwaves this fall, but some fans of the show couldn’t wait that long to get their fix. Some of them hijacked a road sign in Boulder, Colorado and changed it to read something that Whovians fear (and love). It says “Warning Daleks Ahead.”

This is the best line in almost any TV series ever but you really only understand the enormity and profundity of it if you are familiar with the whole show’s mythology and it’s just so beautiful and I was in the bath and I cried.

The only thing wrong with this part was that you barely had time to contemplate it before they were on to the next thing.

- Me: Good news, I've picked out both my casual and fine china patterns. So that's one thing the future husband won't have to mess with.
- Mom: Which ones?
- Me: That one for fine (points at a set decorated in red coral designs and rimmed in gold), and that for casual (points to a heavier plain white set).
- Mom: I like the first one! But the second seems a little plain for you. White?
- Me: I like the architectural motif around the plates. See? Reminds me of doors, windows, and the TARDIS.
- Mom: The what?
- Me: The TARDIS. Time And Relative Dimension In Space.
- Mom: That's a...space ship?
- Me: And time machine. From Doctor Who.
- Mom: Seriously? That's the reference you're going with for your wedding china?
- Me: I'm nerdy in all other areas of life, so why not this one?
