It’s not always easy to come up with a new idea and execute it in a way that seems effortless, but artist Zander Olsen has done just that. These simple yet extremely thoughtful temporary installations were created using white material and creative camera angles in various locations around the UK.
My Weekend (follow me on twitter- I’ve been rather busy and just posting stuff there)
The blue in the top photo kills me. And I LOVE the cairn. Finding rocks and building cairns is one of my favourite things to do (guys I am a blast to hang with, honest).
No. 180 | Choppy Waters | NYC
As I’ve mentioned before, I like watching water. I think I probably should just start a fuckyeahwater blog. Or maybe I’ll make a book out of them. Either way, you guys seem to like them and I like making them. Win win?
This time it’s the choppy Hudson river taken from a sailboat that a couple of my friends and I got to take out on Friday to watch the sunset. It was a great time and I have some good shots of Manhattan coming out of my editing queue.
I would follow the everyliving heck out of a fuckyeahwater blog. Or fuckyeahoceans or fuckyeahwaves, etc.
on the left he’s reading “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw,” by Jeff Kinney. on the right he’s reading “Warriors,” by Erin Hunter.
Read Diary of a Wimpy Kid I Read Warriors
I was delighted by these two the moment I saw them. I wished very much to bring them to the library. Candidly photographing children is an even trickier area of street photography, so I was glad that their parents (pictured at left) were present. I approached them and asked if I could photograph their kids as they were reading. They were so enthusiastic about the underground library when I told them about it! They said “yes! sure!”, both of them in sync with their agreement. What was even more marvelous was the way these kids quietly observed our exchange, looking at their parents the entire time. When their parents expressed their agreement to me, they went back to reading and allowed me to photograph them, all without saying a word.
I am in love with this little family.
Y’all read this blog, right? Cause you should, it’s great.
I love my aunt’s house, but there are no peonies here. I miss my peonies.

I spent an afternoon in the Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, VA. All photos taken on an iPhone 4 and edited with TiltShift Generator. And yes, the angels freaked me the fuck out.
